Question 1

Why is mold inspection so critical for homes in St. Tammany Parish and South Louisiana?

Accepted Answer

South Louisiana's subtropical climate features consistently high relative humidity, heavy rainfall, and prolonged warm seasons, creating ideal conditions for hidden moisture intrusion. Professional thermal imaging and moisture mapping catch hidden growth behind drywall and ductwork before it impacts health or structure.

Question 2

Why should I hire an independent mold inspector instead of a remediation company?

Accepted Answer

Hiring an independent, third-party testing firm eliminates the conflict of interest inherent in companies that both test and remediate. Aeris Environmental Inspection is assessor-only: we do not perform remediation or abatement, we do not accept referral fees, and all samples are analyzed by an independent, accredited (A2LA) laboratory. Our findings and protocols follow IICRC S520 and other consensus standards.

Question 3

What areas do you service outside of your Covington headquarters?

Accepted Answer

Headquartered in Covington, LA, Aeris Environmental Inspection serves St. Tammany Parish, Orleans Parish, Jefferson Parish, East Baton Rouge Parish, St. Charles Parish, and Tangipahoa Parish, with additional coverage across Louisiana and Mississippi for litigation support engagements.

Question 4

What tools and testing methods do you use during an inspection?

Accepted Answer

Our inspections incorporate thermal infrared imaging, moisture meter mapping, HVAC system evaluations, and independent accredited laboratory analysis, including spore trap, ERMI, and HERTSMI-2 testing.

Question 5

Do you provide protocols I can hand off to a repair contractor?

Accepted Answer

Yes. When mold is found, we provide a detailed remediation protocol aligned with IICRC S520 standards that you can hand to any licensed mitigation contractor, followed by Post-Remediation Verification (PRV) clearance testing.
